Tapping or Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is an effective set of techniques for releasing energetic blocks which can interfere with physical and emotional health. One does not need to be ‘sick’ to benefit from tapping and it is not even essential to know what the blocks are. Tapping can certainly be used as a self help tool and I use it frequently for that purpose. I have found, however, that it is often more effective (and simply quicker) to work with a professional practitioner for issues where you are not achieving results alone or you are not aware of the root cause.
